Frequently asked questions
Are wheel spacers safe?
Yes, if they are hub centric, have the correct bolt pattern and centre bore, and the wheel is fitted with bolts of the right length tightened to the correct torque. KLUCWERK wheel spacers are made from 6061-T6 aluminium and are hub centric. Re-check wheel torque after 50–100 km.
How do I choose the bolt length for a wheel spacer?
Add the thickness of the slip-on spacer to the shank length of the original bolt. The thread and seat (conical, ball or flat) must match the original. If you are not sure, send us your VIN – we will match the bolts.
What is the difference between a conical and a ball seat?
The seat is the surface where the bolt or nut presses against the wheel. A 60° cone is typical for aftermarket wheels; a ball seat is used on many factory VW, Audi, Mercedes and Honda wheels. The wrong seat causes the wheel to work loose.
How do I choose hub centric rings?
The outer diameter is the wheel's centre bore; the inner diameter is the car's hub diameter, e.g. 66.6/57.1 for Audi wheels on VW hubs. Rings are needed when the wheel's centre bore is larger than the hub.
What torque should wheel bolts and lug nuts be tightened to?
Always the value given by the vehicle manufacturer in the manual or service data. Tighten with a torque wrench in a crosswise pattern, and re-check after the first 50–100 km.
Is KLUCWERK certified?
Our products are made by manufacturers with a certified ISO quality management system. On request, we send copies of certificates and material certificates for the given batch.
Where can I buy KLUCWERK products?
Individual customers buy from the akcesorex.pl store and on Allegro. Businesses receive an individual wholesale offer – email contact@klucwerk.eu.
